Welcome To The Wonderful World of CST Bodyweight Exercise

You’ve found the home of Circular Strength Training’s (CST) unique style of bodyweight training.  There are limitless resources out there on bodyweight training, so I completely understand your initial reaction.  Yeah, yeah – another coach shouting from the rooftops.  Another trainer professing the superiority of his system.  That’s OK.  Because I know that once you sniff around a bit you’ll agree that CST bodyweight exercise is like nothing you’ve ever seen before!

Before we go much further, why don’t you give this video a watch and let me tell you a bit about how I ended up here, asking you to try our brand of bodyweight workouts

There are many reasons to gravitate towards bodyweight exercise.  Compared to just two years ago, the popularity of equipment free training has exploded.  The industry can hardly keep up with the demand.  More than ever, we’re short on time.  Are you one of those people who must take on twice the load in the workplace, and do it in half the time?  Are you worried about financial uncertainty and leery of spending money on gym memberships.  Both those refrains are certainly things we hear every day.

And people have had it with fighting there way to overcrowded gyms and then waiting around for machines that don’t even seem to be all that effective.  The good news is, once people catch on to bodyweight training they figure out they don’t need all the fancy stuff at the gym.  Everything they need for a great workout they carry around with them all day, every day – their bodyweight.

Rich traditions of physical culture have known for years how to achieve tremendous physiques with absolutely no equipment.  Nowadays, you can still lose fat and gain muscle with mainstream bodyweight training, but after a matter of weeks it’ll bore you to tears.  And that is why people are discovering CST bodyweight exercise in droves.  Once you see what we’re all about, you’ll understand what I’m talking about.

    Craig Ballentyne told me to check this out. I’m quite impressed and seriously thinking of ditching my gym membership (that I feel I’m just wasting). I get bored easily with standard exercise so I’m looking forward to learning more. Thanks for something new and exciting.

    Hi Adam,

    I have spent the last few days exploring this site as well as Better’s Better along with links you posted with Coach Sonnon. I must say that I’m enjoying everything I read. I like knowing that there has been extensive research and that there is real science behind this method of training. It’s very thorough and I really like that there’s no way to reach a plateau. You keep building and moving forward and there’s no stagnation. I will begin my program tomorrow morning before work and continue with Bodyweight FUN-damentals until I get my form down. This is something I would love to learn and promote. Thank you again for all the information you provided. I will definitely keep you posted on my progress. :-)

    I have been doing the stage crazy 12 minute workout and it really kicks butt!! Is the body weigh blue print a collection of similar work outs?

      You can think of Stage Crazy as an “amuse-gueule” and Bodyweight Blueprint as a 3-month meal plan — all in the same style of cuisine. :)

    yes…..i feel that way…after i lost a tremendous amount of lbs. i lost my appetite in exercising….i Just jog around here and everywhere…where my feet leads me…..
    It is embarassing really that i teach mother to do exercise to be fit in anyway. To be able to do chores around the house with that strong muscles. Unfortunately it leads me to lots of questions which myself cannot answer. Now am going to follow your instructions and i hope, i will not do so much lifting…cause i did it once…the power lifting…you won’t believe it. But this 5″2 lady can carry a 60kilos weight on full back. And lately it is straining…..What mothers mostly ask me is how to ease the muscle in such pain and yet making it firm….knock me down there……I need to kick each one ass…….really…
    so glad to here something different…and wait for me to learn that staff….and i will tell you what had happened.

    Hi Adam,

    I’ve recently downloaded the FUN-damentals and am blogging about my experiences with it as I follow the program. So far I’m doing pretty well, totally out of breath and slightly weak at the end but that’s good.

    I wanted to ask if it would be ok for me to reproduce the Sample Progression for the BER FUN-damentals workout table on my blog so I can show the routine I’m working through this month. In the posts I’ve already written I’ve linked back to this site and advised people to come and get the PDF but it would be useful to be able to show the routine on a page.

    Hopefully I’ll be able to get a bit fitter (I’ve got a long way to go) and I’ll be sure to let you know how I get on in a month or so.

    Nice, but the video does not show one person doing an actual bodyweight movement with just their body, without using a weight. The clubbell is a weight, an unorthodox one, but still a weight. How about showing some movements that people could do, without the use of any equipment. Thanks.
