When guys like Ryan and I meet a titanically muscular bloke carting around a cooler full of protein shakes, we mentally file him under “meathead”, “musclehead” or “gym rat”.
That was our kneejerk first impression of coach Vince Delmonte, but it couldn’t have been further from the truth. Within moments we were struck by Vince’s thoughtful, genuine nature. And when he spoke, we were immediately aware that this is a guy who knows his stuff.
We’ve become good friends with Vince since that first meeting, and we’ve come to respect his muscle building knowledge. We’ve even used his ideas to build bodyweight-based programs for putting on mass. Wouldn’t you sit up and listen to a guy who went from the high school nickname “Skinny Vinny” to modern man of muscle?
Vince is a walking encyclopedia of innovative muscle building techniques, and we felt it was about time that you experienced his stuff first-hand. Many of you have written to ask us how to pack on more lean mass. And even if you don’t want bulk, those of you who are simply interested in getting or staying trim need to keep an eye on muscle, because it supports fat loss.
Unfortunately, Vince just sold out of all 500 copies of the DVDs that he had printed for his birthday sale last week. BUT, he kept a few for friends, and we were lucky enough to wring one of them out of his hands for you guys! Vince has agreed to give away a muscle building package to one of our readers — and it’s a massive package fit for those with massive aspirations.
If you think you could stand to have a little more meat on your frame, you MUST enter this contest.
The rules are easy:
In 200 words or less, tell us your fitness goal for 2010, which bodyweight exercise will be most helpful to you in achieving that goal, and why you need Vince’s muscle building DVDs.
Post your answer to the comments below. The best one wins Vince’s 9 DVD set.
This is a one day only contest. At the stroke of midnight on Sunday December 6th, we’ll close the comments on this post and pick a winner.
We’re looking forward to reading your entry!

Hello, i am 41 years old, my height is 173cm,my weight is 100kgs, it started increasing after my last delivery 7 years back ( i have 4 kids)when i suffered suddenly of hypothyroidism, i used to regain my body nicely by diet and exercises after delivery, but this time it is more difficult, more slow to loose weight, and i feel tired more quickly than i used to be, i used to do a lot of exercises without becoming tired fast. i have big bones, that is why i do not look really 100kg, my tummy is not that big , my problem is more in my hips, legs, and butt. and what makes it more hard is that i am a working mother ( from 7:00am till 5:00pm for 5 days aweek) and i do not have a helper for the house work. i feel depressed sometimes because i used to be more active ,energetic, and with a good body shape eventhough with big bones. i like to be slim and active again ,to tone and strengthen all my my muscles, especially those that are slightly sagging and with slight cellulite. I want all these things to happen within less than 8 months please.

Hello, I am considered obese, around 105kg (used to weigh more) and 183cm. My aim for 2010 is to lose more fat and have a respectful muscle mass which I will try to grow even more afterwards. If I can pick the most helpful exercise, I believe that will be the squat. Vince’s DVD will help me towards training and eating better, I need instructions as I have been struggling for a considerable time.
I am 53 years old, and practising wing tsun for several hours a week. My fitness goal is to reach my physical peak at age 90. The single bodyweight exercise that will help me achive that goal is the Quad Hop to Flat Foot Squat Combo. I need Vince’s dvd as a daily reminder and inspiratiion to help me achieve my dietary and fitness goals.
Tell us your fitness goal for 2010, – My goal for 2010 is to lose the ’spare tire’ I have had for the last 55 years and finally be able to see the preverbal ’six pack’ that I know I have. Another goal is to be able to go and play with my grandchildren and be an active participate in their sports activities.
Which bodyweight exercise will be most helpful to you in achieving that goal – Pull-up and Push-Ups for the upper body; Squats and Lunges for the lower body and leg raises for the core.
Why you need Vince’s muscle building DVDs – I need to be aided in my exercise program. If I do not have a plan, then the plan will be to fail! The DVDs will guide me to achieve the goals that I have. It will motivate me to give it the effort need to succeed.
all my life i have loved lifting weights. my hero is frank zane. i used to be close to his look when i was 19 but because of my jobs and my love of pizza i have gained 70 lbs over the years. i wish i could look like that again and i’ve tried but i guess i don’t have the knowledge to do it. i thought i did but training at 44 is different than training at 19. nowadays i wouldn’t mind looking like my new hero jay cutler. the man is a beast, and i thought dorian yates was huge. i have the will and desire but i don’t know what to do. i need help. someone with knowledge please help me.
I am 43 years old and over the past two years I have lost 45lbs through exercising at home using a combimation of bodyweight and kettlebell exercises. Pushups, Pullups, and planks are all part of my workouts, but the Tripod Twist is one of my fundamental Yaw movements in my routines.
I have learned the value of a proper nutrition as an important part of health improvement. Clean eating has helped me shed a lot of fat.
As I was slowly returning to my skinny frame as I had in high school, I realized how much fat was defining my physical shape. I am a skinny-fat person. I have tried with bodyweight exercises to add muscle, but the process is not the same as fat loss. Help.
I have lost 100 lbs in the last 11 months, using kettlebells, bodyweight , funtional , tuberlance exercising. Right now i weight 190 ilbs, i would like to gain 10- 15 pounds of musele and six pack of course!
I am just 60 years and training since 21 years [1971] in a gym where knowledge i picked up as i went along. I got colon cancer year 2000 and continued with my training even thtough my cemo.

I am retired and would love the help of an expert like Vince to make my body more cut up .I wear a colostomy bag and still work out 5 days and swim a well. I believe i can achieve this if i get your help. Thanks for offering such a great prize that i can even pass on to my granchildren and not be stumbling in the dark like i was.
Hi Adam !
I started my “new life” at the end of August, because I had my 50 anniversary in October and I thought that I have to be in my best shape ever from that point on to rest of my life. Ok, I lost almost 15 kgs in a quite short time but now I’m stucked to that. I want to loose at least 10 kgs more, (I don’t take offence if I get lean body and some muscles at the same time to my skinny outlook),and if YOU think that Vince’s package will give me the final boost for that, I’m so willing to try. I promise you to report my succes week by week. There is nothing like this here in Finland, and I have have to get all information from internet .
My name is Cindy and I am on the brink of turning 49. My fitness goal for 2010 is get in best shape of my life. My aspiration at 49 is to complete my certification as a personal trainer,I’d love Vince’s muscle building DVD’s to actually help my son and give me some practical experience. My son just turned 19 and is 6′4″ and about 120 lb . I want to help him find some confidence. He has never been on a date and doesn’t do what others his age would do because he just can’t get past his self image. If I could give him this gift , it would mean so much to both of us. We are currently utilizing the one-arm push ups, pull ups , planks and flat foot squats. I would love to help my son and myself achieve our goals and Vince’s system would certainly help us both.
Hi Adam and Ryan,
It’s not so easy to put goals to year 2010 when we are still some few weeks left in amazing 2009! This year has been really fantastic year – I have been knowing you guys and the things you are working with = CST- bodyweight exercise and the whole Circular Strength Training – system.
My goals to 2010:
)
1. Be certified CST Instructor (end of the May here in Norway
2. Deepen my knowledge in CST
3. Learn to use my body more sophisticated than today
4. Build up lean and balanced body
5. I hope also that people here in Scandinavia and Europe will learn more about CST.
Thanks so far
Henri
I am one of those constantly skinny guys who has to fight and struggle to put on every kg and then be incredibly persistent and diligent to keep it on. For some people this might be a blessing, but it probably feels just as bad being constantly called skinny as it does being called fat.
My biggest fitness goal is to be able to make a full time living as a health and fitness professional (through CST). A big part of that goal is to get myself +80kg with muscle weight in order to be a good role model for what I want to do and be able to inspire people that I can help them look and feel good also. I am currently brushing 75kg and have been struggling to get this on.
I think the best bodyweight exercises that will help me will be developing solid pistols and working up to eventual handstand pushups.
I am someone who likes to learn and hit everything from every angle as I piece it together and I can use every extra bit possible. However living in a developing country (Thailand) and earning this currency makes purchasing resources difficult.
Thanks.
Damien.
(200!)
I am a father of three (soon to be 4!) and suffer from a lot of “leftovers” from bodybuilding for 16 years. I’ve had 3 ACL surgeries (still one loose knee), limited ROM in my left shoulder, bum elbow, joint pain, etc… I used to look good, but didn’t feel good. At all.
My goals for 2010 are: a) increase my mobility with strength through my entire range of motion, b) learn three new skills (hand stand (30 sec), 4 ball juggle (2 min) and 1 foot balance on rebounder (1 min)), and c) keep at 160lb but trade “up” 10lbs.
I’ve never been coordinated, so my latest favorite exercise equipment is a wall; my favorite bodyweight circuit is a one leg wall sit to walk-down bridge to wall hand stand, walk sideways then walk down to pushup, knee tuck to backwards lunges to one leg sit on opposite leg … repeat! (Couldn’t pick just one!)
Looking at Vince’s package, I can see the chance to look as good as my 6 day gruel sessions did – without the pain. Less time, so more time for family. I can look AND feel healthier, too – just in time for my 40th birthday!!
Hey guy’s,
some of my goals for 2010 is for e.g. the
one arm pull up and performe a 10 min. Jerk with double 24 kg Kettlebells. For me its a big goal, but i am motivated. Because i don’t go a gym and do all my training at home or outside in the park with just BWE and Kettlebells i think Vince’s DVD’s would bring me a big step forward and to reach my goals! KB’s and BWE fits together like the meat on the bone! My fave BWE are Burpees (with 2-3 push ups & jump into the upper pull up Position and hold it for some seconds.
Greetings
Sven
I have struggled with my weight for many years and it affects my life in many ways, including high blood pressure and having a hard time trying to keep up with my children physically. My goals for 2010 are to lose the excess weight, get off the blood pressure medicine, and have a more functional physical life. I really like bodyweight exercises and believe that they can help me to achieve my goals and I really enjoy the wide range of exercises that are available.
If Ryan and Adam are recommending Vince then I know I will gain a great deal more than muscle from his coaching. I am experiencing a reverse trend in my fitness -as I get older I’m becoming functionally fitter, and this is freeing me to reach my goals. Who gains? My wife, my kids, my community and my work. And as people are seeing this they are asking…’How are you doing this?’ I’m enjoying telling them.
Hey everyone! Wow, I am absolutely glad to take this moment and thank both Vince as well as Ryan and Adam for giving us the opportunity to fulfill our aspirations. I am 21 years young with a infinite bright future ahead. I have been into the exercise realm since I was 16 y.y. I have a holistic goal ahead of me that I am intending to accomplish which is attaining balance, muscle, flexibility and strength in all aspects of my being (physical, mental, emotion, & spiritual). I also have been involved in giving the opportunity for a lot of people around me to attain the goals they desire as well. I am 5′8 weighing at 165 lbs with 9% B.F. Although I consider myself as athletic, I would like to gain more knowledge in the exercise world to not only impact my life, but the lives of others who interact with me. Thank you. Much love & Bliss to all!
Hi, my goals in 2010 are the same since i started workingout 5 years. To get stronger, more flexibility, quicker, more endurante, get healthy and to get rid of my weak points. Losing fat and getting a better physic for me is just a nice side effects of my goals. since about a year i been enjoying CTS style of training, but i have made most of my progress in the last 2 to 3 months. I love using diffrent tools to work out to get as much variety in my work out, which makes it alot more fun. From using clubells, kettlebells, sand bags, jump box, med ball… I love gaining knowledge of how to make workout be the most effiecent possible an achieve the goals you want. With this in mind i wish to then give this knowledge to others or at least help them make better choices.
To all who workout, i hope you achive your goals, good luck!

I have always been the “skinny guy” since high school, and could never gained significant muscle mass (I’m now at 5′8″, 130 lbs). I’ve always admired my friends who could gain the shape they want. I could eat all the junk food in the world, tried every exercise regimen, and still could not retain more than 3 lbs weight. Thus, I feel I share the same beginning as Vince. As I’m approaching 30 next year, I hope to pack a solid chest definition and 6-pack abs for the first time in my life. I know his program is right for me, and I will be forever grateful to reach the peak of my life with the best shape of my life ! Thank you, Ryan and Adam.
I am a 68 year young physically challenged distance runner. Due to a spinal cord injury, I have been limited in my upper body exercises. I do yoga, bodyweight exercises, weight lifting, run about 7 hours a week ( mostly on my rebounder), and eat a 100% raw vegan diet. I am 5 ft. 8 inches, 120 lbs. with 5% body fat. As a fitness goal for 2010, I want to be able to do 1 Pullup and 1 Hand Stand Wall Pushup. Some of my favorite bodyweight exercises are: Back Bridges, Bear Crawls, Wall Sits, and One Arm Hangs from the pullup bar. If Vince’s program could help me , I would give him a great testimonial.

Hi Adam and Ryan:
My name is Petra -I’m 41 years old and definitely not in the best shape!
Since being diagnosed hypothyroid in 2002 I have struggled increasing weight gain. I’ve managed to lose about 13 pounds from my high of 183lb, but I still have a long way to go. I’ve tried many programs, but none have given me the results that I yearn for.
My goal for now and 2010? I am desperate to lose another 35lb of fat (and add some muscle too), to achieve the body of my dreams. I managed to lose some weight doing bodyweight exercises. I HATE burpees, which means they must be doing something good for me!
I am certain that Vince’s DVD package will give me the tools and knowledge I need to achieve my goals. I don’t just want to lose the weight; I want to be über-hot! (I have a feeling my boyfriend would be VERY appreciative too!)
I am so self conscious of my weight and my appearance that I feel it is detrimental to my relationship with my boyfriend. I KNOW that following Vince’s program would help me change into a strong, confident and beautiful woman.
Thanks for your consideration!
Hello guys,
I would just like to say thank you for all the tips and advice that you have given me and several others. I have learned a lot more about different exercises through you. I have been using bodyweight exercises for about 3 years now and once I ran into your sight I was very surprised to have found more bodyweight exercises. I am 16, 5′7″, 120 lbs and I cannot seem to build muscle, but my strength is fairly good. I am still considered skinny by several people. I would have to say that some of the best exercises that have helped me have been the many different kinds of pushups, pullups and chinups. My goal not only for 2010, but for years to come is to be able to build up muscle, strength and endurance in my bodyweight exercises and any other kind of physical labor. I hope to build muscle so that I will no longer be known as the skinny guy. This program will help me because I will learn to use more bodyweight exercises in order to build muscle and I will also have a plan to follow that will keep me on track and teach me how to build muscle and do exercises to my advantage.
“I have been a skinny guy since young,my fitness goal for 2010 is to gain weight and build muscle,to shock everyone and prove to them that I’m am not always skinny, full of bones.I personally think that 12 Minute Stage Crazy Workout is the most helpful.I tried it,and i can actually feel it by following the instructions,i can feel the intensity even thought it is just a short workout.I seriously want this and I believe with this final step,I definitely will succeed.I believe that Vince program will give me the motivation and determination to transform my body.I also want to influence others in the gym to work harder, but unfortunately I am unable to do it.I lack the knowledge, the foundation, thus I need someone to help me out badly.I believe I am able to do it as I am sure I have the discipline to work hard and achieve my dream.I am sure no one will want this as much as I want.In future,I will want to become a gym trainer so that I can help out others, enlighten them and tell others my experiences when I had Vince program.”
Thanks Adam and Ryan for this golden oppurtunity for Vince program.
God Bless
